Is this product compatible with an Android phone?

Yes it is, it should work with any bluetooth device, although perhaps not every feature (ie connecting to the address book) will work with non-android devices.  I've been using it with my nexus 4 for a couple months now, and have had no issues.  My brother has one as well, and he's got both his work and personal phones to his, so it does work with 2 devices at the same time as well.

Question 2

can i use this with any verizon phone, including an iphone?

As far as I am aware, this device will work with any device equipped with Bluetooth. The Roadster will work with the iphone, HOWEVER, certain features such as text message read-back, MotoTalk, etc. do not work using an iphone. Voice dial works and, on my iphone 4, all of the other non-Siri voice commands work. The device is loud and the mic picks up audio beautifully, so there's no need to yell at the device. Alternately, the FM Roadster model (which I believe is the TZ700) can transmit phone audio through FM to your in-car stereo. I love it, if my personal testimony bears any weight.

Question 3

Can it be used with any car radio? Does it take batteries?

The Roadster has a speaker of its own so this feature could be used regardless of car.  It also has an FM radio transmitter, so if you have an FM radio you can tune it to a station you select on the Roadster to play over your car's speakers.  The Roadster includes an internal power source that can be charged using the included 12 V power adapter.  I've found it lasts roughly a week on a single charge when playing around 2 hours of podcasts from my phone each day.  This is a great little unit!

Does the Z700 store your phonebook? Do you make and answer calls thru your phone?

I have been pretty satisfied with the MOTOROLA TZ700 Roadster.  I have an iPhone 5s that is activated by the link button on the Moto Roadster - and I can use Ciri to make calls, create texts, etc. Not sure how this will work with other phones. The streaming audio through the car radio works pretty well too and I use it all the time.  One con, sometimes I need to turn it off and then on again for it to link with my phone. Works well considering the price.

Well, I'm using an LG Lucid successfully with this unit, if that helps any. You have to install an app called Motospeak (by motorola) for voice command, though. Once it's installed, I just push the little person button icon and up comes voice command. Just need Bluetooth, I think. Also, streams to the radio beautifully. I'm very happy with the results I've gotten. : )

Is the Nokia 521 with a Microsoft platform compatible with the original Motorola roadster?  If not will the new roadster 2 work?

Question 7

My device is  not recognized by the Motospeak App that is recommended in the product Manual.  Any suggestions?

You don't need the app to use the device, it just adds a little better integration with older phones (if you're on, I think it's, android 4.2 or later nearly all the extras are native to the OS and the app is not even needed).  To be fair though, I didn't use the app for more than a couple days myself, since it didn't actually do what I wanted it for (speaking the name of caller instead of the number), but now it does even with out the app (I've got 4.4 on my phone now).
