The 6 pin power connector you need for your graphics card comes directly from your power supply.  Any motherboard with a PCI-E 2.0 or better slot is going to work with any graphics card made in the last ~5 years as long as you have the necessary power supply.

Is this motherboard that bad? Reviews are really negative a lot of DOA. I'm looking for a micro/mini board with support for AMD FX CPU and 1600 DDR3 and this is 1 of 3 listed. The other 2 are very expensive and don't have rave reviews either. Is this one worth the risk?

I bought the board  for a build for a customer just over a year ago.  In fact, I worked on this very PC a few months back (he wanted me to put in a dedicated sound card). I test the boards functionality (even though the customer didn't say anything was wrong with it, I just wanted to check it over just in case. I wasn't expecting to find anything wrong in the first place. Now, to answer your question Tim. Yes, I thinks it's worth it. MSI is one of the three big manufactures of motherboards (the other two are Asus and Gigabyte. I hope I was of some help.

Will a CX500 psu work with this?

Yes it will.  Any ATX psu above 250 watt will power this motherboard.  The Corsair CX500 is a nice psu but you could save some money and get something a little more generic.  The mobo is nice btw - lots of USB ports with no extra frills like HDMI or eSata ports.  Had no issues building a Win 7 box.

No, Intel processors use a LGA style socket type. This motherboard is an Amd motherboard. Socket type is a Am3+

would this product support a 600watt psu?

Yes it will! It will work for almost any PSU these days. I use the Corsair CX750M, which is a Semi-Modular 750 watt power suoply. The motherboard uses a standard 24 pin connecter to power everything, and a 4 pin connector for the CPU, that all PSUs off the shelf come with.

TIP, having a PSU with higher wattage will not burn out the computer, it will only use what is needed. It's when your system is using MORE then what you have that you get bottleneck issues.

I am thinking about buying a bare bones kit with this mother board and I want to install windows 8.1. I could not find all the drivers on their website that I needed to use this with windows 8.1 64 bit. Will this work flawlessly with windows 8.1?

Im new to this and in every forum ive read and every video i watched after installing windows 8.1 they instaled a chipset driver from the mother boards website. If you go to MSi's website they dont have a chipset diriver for windows 8 for this mobo. What issues can i run into without this driver? What did you guys do after installing windows and before doing windows updates? Sorry for such a long question and thank you for your help.

Yes, I'm running 2 G.SKILL Sniper Series 16GB DDR3 1866MHz. No issues for over a year now. Great mother board for the price. You wont be disappointed. Just make sure you use a 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply or better.

Can I use this MSI 760 GM model to replace a MSI 785GTM-E45 Motherboard so I can use DDR3 instead of the MSI 760's DDR2 and not have to reinstall windows?

Depends on the processor type you have. This motherboard supports up to AM3+ processors. Please don't make the same mistake I did. Don't cheap out; buy a quality motherboard that will last. This one does not haul as much as one that costs $100.
Do some research before buying.

Also, you can't use DDR2 on DDR3 slots.
