Pros: Price is right!

Cons: Sometimes you learn the hard way. Should have read more of the reviews; some of the earlier ones mention this issue. The card uses DVI-D (digital) instead of DVI-I (digital and analog). As a practical matter, this means that if your DVI cable has 5 pins on the left side of it, it will not fit this video card. The wikipedia entry on DVI explains the five types of DVI connectors (digital, analog, both, single and dual link). Such complexity.

Pros: S-Video works wonderfully under Linux (tested: Fedora 6) with a few minor tweaks. Small. Fanless. Silent.

Cons: 4+ year old GPU line--I'm guessing it's not very good at modern graphics-intensive games.

Overall Review: I bought this after long battles trying to reuse different (non-NVidia) card for S-Video out on a Fedora MythTV. (It had the S-Video port, just not a fully functioning driver--proprietary or open-source). After this experience, I would absolutely recommend NVidia for S-Video under linux. Though things change, so do your research.

Pros: Fanless, hence quiet. Takes up relatively little space in my case. I got what I paid for, I like it.

Cons: accessories like an svideo cable or DVI to vga adapter would be nice.

Overall Review: I have this card in a mythtv box, and it works great, particularly because it's silent, but also has the overscan functions. Granted I've never played any games with this card, but thats not why I bought it.

Pros: Supported under Linux, both VGA and DVI output worked fine. Didn't test TV out. Recommend using nVidia drivers vs. Xorg's "nv" driver. I used 8776 from Ubuntu.

Cons: Linux drivers have issues with many hi-res monitors, reporting things like "resolution X is too large for display Y", even tho Windows/Mac work with the same monitor. Fix is to edit xorg.conf and add some options to the device section for the card: Option "ModeValidation" "NoMaxPClkCheck, NoEdidMaxPClkCheck" -- That goes all on one line, and those are lower-case L's after "PC".

Overall Review: Having to Google for magical incantations is a pain, but once done, the card words great under Linux. Have not tested 3D yet, but that's not really what I bought it for.

Pros: Not only does it have a DVI-D port, but also a VGA port.

Cons: When I took it out of the bag, a loose capacitor dropped. It's rather a spare or from another product because I see no problems with the display as I typed this and play games. Also, MSI doesn't seem to support this card anymore.

Overall Review: I upgraded from a 6-year-old ATI Rage Fury Pro in my 1-year-old PC. What a difference! Thanks Newegg! This is great and affordable solution for a typical personal computer or casual gaming PC. As a casual gamer who spends his spare time playing Final Fantasy XI for hours, I highly recommend it.

Pros: Easy Installation, supports wide screen resolutions, supports DVI-D

Overall Review: I bought this card to improve the resolution on a new Samsung monitor that I purchased. So far the image is much more crisp (it also helped to be able to take advantage of the DVI-D).

Pros: If you use the MSI BIOS you will be able to Overclock using Dynamic Overclocking Technology that will allow you to go from 400 stock clock speed to 440 Overclocking speed, the MSI Clock tab is found in Properties at the desktop, I can run BF2 with this video card even though a FX5700 is what they say for minimum, when I play BF2 I run my video card Overclocked at one of the three higher settings there are six Overclock settings to chose from I can run BF2 at 100% viewing when Overclocked like this, I am very happy with this card. My PC is running Pentium 4 2.0 cpu, 768 Ram & MSI FX5200-TD128LF, Windows XP Pro.

Cons: None, not for this price.

Overall Review: The Software that this comes with is good and comes with a program for updating the BIOS.

Pros: Works well with Linux. 3D performance is better with the Nvadia drivers then with the Xorg drivers. I am using the DVI output and have not tried the TV or analog output.

Cons: You need to compile get the drivers from the Navida site to get full performance. It is hard to update the card if you do not have Windows.
