does this come with a dual link splitter/connector?  IF not where do i get one?

The DVI-D port on this is a Dual-Link connector, which means it connects to a Dual-Link display (one that requires TWO DVI channels to carry the amount of data needed to display the full # of pixels).

It does not mean it will connect one DVI port to two monitors.

There are no special connectors or splitters aside from the VGA connector pictured and the low-profile bracket.

Question 2

Will this work in an HP 500-164 desktop without needing to upgrade the powersupply?

On geforce website  card specs show 300 as minumum power supply

It should be okay. I would still look into a bigger supply tho. The 300 should be sufficient but is sort of the bare minimum. According to the specs a 300 watt supply is the minumum recommended. This doesnt account for anything else thats consuming in the case.

Does this have 384 CUDA cores because the 1 GB version has 384 and I haven't found it listed anywhere?

Doube S:  The Specs on  NVidia site for the GeForce GT 730, say the DDR5 version does have 384 CUDA.    Since the is the spec from NVIDIA, I would assume all after market versions have to meet these specs too.

Question 4

I'm thinking of buying this video card for use in supporting 3 monitors for heavy-duty photo and video editing, but I only see one port in the picture of the product, so how can it support 3 monitors?

You can have one monitor on each of the connections, i.e. 1 VGA Monitor, 1 HDMI Monitor and 1 DVI Monitor. If you are going to be doing ALOT of photo/video editing, you will want a GPU with more power. At least a 2GB DDR5 128-bit, but that would be bare minimum. Also make sure your Power Supply is powerful enough to handle the GPU.

I am returning an Nvidia Geforce 730 since there were some compatibility issues with my system.  This card looks very similar.  Is it exactly the same?

Cool.  Thanks for letting me know.  Does MSI make a card with similar specs but not based on Nvidea design?  I have an older MSI in my system that works great and thought that staying with the same manufacturer and drivers might help.

Have no idea. I have not put the machine this card was used for,
but I have one of the 1GB cards being used in another machine.
I'm extremely satisfied with the performance of the 1GB card.
Not used for gaming.

2.0 pci-e 16 slot as long as the motherboard has that it will work , if your mb has 3.0 make sure the mb has slot for the 2.0 pci-ex16 or is able to use old technology

Will this work in my HP Pavilion P6703w computer? I'm also going to upgrade my power supply. What size psu should I go to and do you have any suggestions? My grandson likes to play games on this computer and the built in graphics limits what games are playable.

Will work. See what size your power supply is. then get the same or larger. The card doesn't have a power plug. So it would not put a load on the power supply.

I dont know.  I am currently using dell workstations.  Those cards worked just fine in them.  I have never owned a lenovo / ibm machine.  You should search google for your machine and that video card also try youtube.

Might be safe to bump it up a little bit.  If you have good space around the card and if your computer has an additional fan to blow on it, it shouldn't be a problem.  I've been using it for over a year and the card has been working solid for me.
