Pros: With a hybrid capable board this card takes a few seconds before turning on, freaked me out at first because of the review below that said his card was DOA, runs fine though, I got what I wanted, full 16xQ AA in crysis at max settings and runs perfect.
Cons: I am not sure this card would perform the same on a different system, Ive seen bad reviews of this same card but I am sure they lack the CPU to support it.
Overall Review: Running on K9N2 Diamond MSi board, Phenom II 920 @ 3.5ghz, upgraded from a MSi 9800 GTX+ and the improvement is exactly what I expected, runs perfect at 1680x1050. IMO you would need 2 of these cards or the 280/295 to get same results at higher resolution, but for my 720p its perfect results. Thanks again to both MSi and Newegg, never a let down.
Pros: Incredibly fast, factory overclocked so you're not sacrificing a warranty for the extra speed, it single handedly outperforms my old SLI 8800GT's that were overclocked too. There's a built in vent that shoots the hot air directly outside the back of the case rather than just circulating hot air back into the case.
Cons: Did I mention that this thing is huge? It's easily two slots tall and even flares a bit more in certain spots (not much). It easily covered up three of my SATA ports, one of my PCI slots, and I barely had room to fit in a PCI card in the slot one down from that one.
Overall Review: If you plan for this card so that you know you can fit it in the case, you know you have the power supply for it, it's a pretty awesome price and great performance. Always been pleased with MSI's performance, I've bought everything from motherboards and 4 different video cards from them, never had a problem with any product. Just waiting for my MIR now. We'll see how that goes.
Pros: factory-overclocked with 216 SP,; priced much lower than 260's. Built using 55nm technology, the card uses much less juice than its 65nm predecessor (just as GTX 285, and 9800GTX+ do compared to their counterparts). Even with the fan left on auto, the temp stays in the low 70's (the fan never rises above 40%, which is silent). With the fan adjusted to 50% (using RxTx 2.22) the temp stays in the low 60's. When overclocked, it almost matches the much more expensive GTX 280.
Cons: as many reviewers have found out, 55nm does not bring higher overclockability. Red PCB (merely cosmetic, I know) instead of black. MSI's warranty (3 year) is not as generous as eVGA or BFG.
Overall Review: not sure why the above reviewer has heat issue; lack of ventilation? My experience with these 55nm cards (I've had 9800GTX+, GTX 260/285) is that they are significantly cooler and quieter. May want to reseat the cooler.
Pros: For the current price with rebate, and free shipping you can't beat this deal anywhere on any other GTX260 model. Huge step-up from my 8800GTS 512, and runs much cooler even under load. 40c idle-55-60c under Heavy load. Can play all current generation games(except Crysis) with all the bells and whistles set at MAX. Made my Hanns-G 28'' monitor (also purchased from the EGG) truly show to it's full potential. I thought it looked great before, now I am really astonished. Just can't say enough great things about this card. If you have the money, "GO FOR IT".
Cons: DID NOT RECEIVE MY "FREE" COPY OF CALL OF DUTY 5 WITH SHIPMENT AS STATED
Overall Review: Make sure you have 2-6pin PCI-E power plugs, or adapters, and at least a 500 watt power supply to run this beast. Dimensions are approximately 11 1/4" long, 5" wide, and 1 3/4' deep. Pay close attention when filing the Rebate, and registering the card with MSI (LOOK at the examples they provide), because they show a different example for the Serial# for each one. Overall, could't be happier. "THANKS", NEWEGG!!
Pros: this is my second order had to order another because the deal is soo good 149.99 after rebate + free game I posted earlier the first 1 i have artifacts at stock settings this second one is perfect
Cons: quality control im not too confident in msis quality control
Overall Review: oc to 700 1475 1165 stable in every game meets or beats gtx 280 in all games except in 2560x1600 res Now if someone could figure out how to reenable the extra cores gtx 260 are 280s with some core laser cut and blocked
Pros: Price & Performance
Cons: Runs hot; look at tweaking the fan speed for your use.
Overall Review: Good bang for your buck with 260 - Core 216, 55nm, O/C
Pros: Fast. Cheap. Factory OCd to 655mhz core. Runs fairly cool...played Warhead for 2 hours last night and core stayed at 56 degrees with fan at 75%. Much quieter than my 8800 GT at same fan speed. This card runs about 2% slower overall than 2 x 8800 GT ko in SLI as far as 3D mark goes...however, once you turn up details, this card does not slow down. I am playing Crysis at 1920 x 1200 with all details at Gamer and this card stays in the 50s for the most part. It doesn't stutter like my SLI setup used to when encountering a massive change in workload.
Cons: Very large, but if you didn't know that, then you haven't done your research.
Overall Review: I've heard people running two in SLI with a 750W psu...Gonna try it next month, after buying a second. I'm running 780i mobo, e8400 @ 3.4, and 4gb OCZ.

Pros: Inexpensive GTX 260. Latest 55nm, Core 216 model. Factory OC'd to 655Mhz (stock = 576). VERY quiet @ stock fan settings. I can't hear it. Much quieter than my old 8800 GTS 512. Average gain of 10FPS over my 8800 GTS 512 in both Crysis V1.2 and Far Cry 2 Benchmarks (1920x1080). Crysis V1.2 1920x1080 @ "High" runs ~ 30FPS Fear 2 1920x1080 @ "Maximum" + 4x AA = 60FPS GTA IV 1920x1080 @ 30-35FPS (forget actual settings)
Cons: Stock Fan Settings: 45C idle, 75C Load (Crysis, Fear 2) I'll need to manually adjust fan speeds through drivers. NOTE: Requires two (2) 6pin power connectors. Also requires 36A 12V rail. People need to realize this. Also: This card is 10.5" long. Make sure your case has room. May crowd your hard drives depending on how you have them mounted. (Was fine in my Thermaltake Armor 8003). MSI's Live Update program wouldn't install from CD. Error saying file didn't exist. Manually found installer and installed to Windows Vista 64bit. Running Updater simply opens web browser to a mostly blank page. Pretty useless.
Overall Review: My System Specs (So you can judge performance) Q6600 @ 3.2Ghz / 4GB Corsair XMS2 (800Mhz) / XFX 680i LT SLI Antec TPQ-850 / MSI GTX 260 Core 216 / Xigmatek HDT-S1283 Thermaltake Armor VA8003BWS 3dMark06 Score: 15688 As always, NewEgg had my order packaged and shipped quickly. Ordered late Saturday, had UPS Tracking # early Monday.
