Pros: Fast, cool, stable. The fat copper heat pipes make this thing look cool too. Plays CRISIS on high no problems at all, I've played CRISIS, ASSASSINS CREED, and GTA IV no problem at all on stock settings.

Cons: It is pretty massive, but something this capable isn't going to be small. It takes up two slots, but this actually helps in the Coolermaster screwless case I have so I can't really complain.

Pros: Solid HD 4850 performance. The cooling system is doing very well for me. It idles at 38C and after a gaming session is in the mid 40sC. I thought it would make more noise but I can't hear it over my case fans. At 1680 x 1050 I'm getting maxed out settings and smooth FPS. Works well with 19-22 inch monitors. At those temps I should be able to overclock it further than the 640 MHz that its factory overclocked at. Requires only 1 6-pin PCI power input.

Cons: Nothing major. No molex adapter (didn't need one). No case badge (it's just a sticker). Almost 10 inches long but all cards of this performance or better are big. Only 1 year warranty.

Overall Review: I wanted something that would be an upgrade from a Geforce 8600 GT that would still work with my Coolermaster 460 watt power supply (12V 36A) and only required one 6-pin power input. With that in mind the best card seemed to point to the HD 4850. I was worried about all the reviews stating very high temps or card failures due to high temps. I wanted a 4850 with a cooler good enough to keep the temps reasonable right out of the box. I was shooting for 40's C idle and 50's during gaming but so far it has done even better than that in my generic case (2 intake 80mm fans 1 120mm rear exhaust). My game plan was: 1) Get the best card I could get for approx $150 2) Get a card that wouldn't blow up my 460 watt power supply 3) Get a card with a cooler that would prevent it from drastically raising the case temperture and other components. 4) Get a card that works well at 1680 x 1050 (my montors native resolution). This card meets and exceeded what I was wanting.

Pros: This card is very well constructed compared to other brands. Every component is pefectly aligned & mounted. The cooler is a cheaper copy of the Zalman VX1000 vga cooler - very nice. I've had it running F@H average 2500ppd 24/7 with a constant 95-99% GPU load, clock oc'd to 700, at 41C gpu temp rock-stable - no VPU's, bsod's or EUE's, with Catalyst 9.1 & core 1.2 - no environment variables set. For you gamers, no game or benchmark comes close to matching the strain of F@H on a GPU, so it should handle your games maxed with ease. At 105- after rebate, it's a deal. Past experience MSI pays their rebates, but take as long as everyone else

Cons: This is the 1st non-passive video card I've ever installed in a box for my own use, so I an't make a noise comparison, but as others have commented I think this thing is LOUD - louder than the case fans on low & the cpu fan combined. The case temp is 27c, so the PSU fan hasn't kicked on yet. It does not respond to manual fan speed control by Catayst's OC overide. I agree this makes no sense for a PWM fan. Having read the comments, I ordered a fan controller with it. Unfortunately, the fan connector is not a standard 3/4-pin MB header-type or even a Panaflo-type PWM. It has a mini 4-pin connector like some ancient sound cards used to use. The only way I have availabe to connect the fan to a controller is to cut the fan cable & splice on a standard connector, but I'm sure that would void the warranty Minus an egg for this issue. I hate to think of the noise level if I had a few of them Crossfired, although it might actually be quieter than similiar cards?

Overall Review: Current high-end video cards can easily endure 50-60c temps, so having the fan run 100% is over-kill cooling that sacrifices a silent PC. Unlike the VX1000, it has a clear plastic shroud. I ran the card for an hour or so with the fan unplugged - no change in GPU temps. (The heatsink did get very hot to the touch, although that's just a sign it's working properly) I'm going to try removing the shroud & see how it runs for a longer period in passive-mode. The Armour's 200cm side fan may be sufficient to cool it. If I can't find a way to silence it, this card is getting demoted to my server where it's noise level will be negligable compared to the SCSI drive arrays & cooling. system: ASUS M4A78 Deluxe, AMD Phenom 9850, ZeroTherm BTF90 cpu cooler, 2x2GB G-Skill DDR800, PCP&C Silent 610 psu, Thermaltake Armour+ case, Seagate SATA 320GB HD, 2xSamsung SATA optical, Vista x64

Pros: Card runs great idles at 37c and at 47c at load with my setup. Very good mid-range card but for the ultra high end graphics you might need more power.

Cons: Ran 3Dmark vantage at full 1080p and got around 10fps. bought card back in 3/25/09 and still wait on mail-in rebate

Overall Review: Bought 2 of these rather than a 4870. Performance is out of this world as is my folding at home iterations. 2 of these plays any game at max everything at my Spectre's 22" 2ms native 1920x1080. Oh and for you Warcraft people, 75 fps in Dalaran, everything maxed and native res. No lag baby.

Pros: This card for the price is the funkdiggity. Coupled with 2 x 2GB of 1066 ram and an E8400 will take any game i've giving it to feed on. Crysis, Grid, Farcry2, Warhammer Online. With those 4 mentioned, no need to speak of performance for games like Left 4 Dead and such.

Cons: Fan is a bit loud, but anyone with a functional brain can get past it.

Overall Review: This video card is best buy for money. I'd recommend anyone not wanting to spend a load of cash.

Pros: Very cool card, only 30c. Long card but it's not a problem

Cons: Can't believe the fan is uncontrollable even it's a 4pin, BIG disappointment

Pros: This thing runs Oblivion with every setting and AA at 8X buttery smooth. MS Flight Sim X runs just as good. If you are building a budget PC than this is your card!!!!

Cons: Zero, Zip, Zilch, Nada.
