Pros: Fantastic clocking, 4-4-4-12-2T @ 800MHz (2.0v), 5-5-5-15-2T @ 1066MHz (2.0v).
Cons: My setup (AMD Phenom 9950) will not run 1T command rate.
Overall Review: Runs over spec without a single problem. Heatsinks are large enough to dissipate heat well, yet small enough to not run into each other when side-by-side. Mushkin forums are fantastic and they regularly reply to all questions regarding their products. Highly recommended.
Pros: works! lol
running at 4-4-4-12 1T @ 2.0v ..i havent seen too much ddr2 that will run stable at 1T @ 800mhz, so this is always nice :-)
for the heck of it I ran memtest86+, 8+ hrs 10 passes, 0 errors
Cons: the heat spreaders on them make it a bit difficult to install if you need to push really hard to get them in your board, especially if you dont have much clearance to get your hand in there, you have to push the edges of the modules (push on the pcb not the heat spreaders, when i was putting the 2nd one in i guess my finger was bigger then i thought and it slightly pushed the heat spreader off center on one side but it didnt seem to cause any damage and i was able to easily slide it back into place & it didnt lose contact with the chips)
Overall Review: had 2x1gb Crucial Ballistix ddr2 800mhz that i ran for a little more then a year then they somehow both died at the same time even tho i was running them at 0.2v under what they were rated for... waiting to get my RMA back for those but i have no use for them any longer..
they were definitly some great ram tho, 1200mhz 5-4-3-10 2T @ 2.2v, talk about flying! lol
but when they died i decided it was time to upgrade to 2x2gb and crucials new single sided ballistix i heard are pretty awful so i decided to check these out.. happy so far
havent messed around with any overclocking on these new ones, and im not really sure if im going to bother anyway, i can never notice any real world differences when overclocking ram (except 1200mhz lol) ..but it certainly did improve benchmarks, but my system is old now i dont bother with that anymore
running these in a eVGA 680i A1 w/ c2d e6600, eVGA 8800GTS 640mb, dual boot: XP Pro SP3 x86 & Vista Ultimate SP1 x64) everything else isnt really i
Pros: Ran immediately in my 780i, though not at rated voltage. I'm just glad I have a stick that will post at 1.9V as opposed to my patriots that I had to post with a 1.8V stick, change to 2.2V in bios and then install. I owned cheap before, these are worth the slightly increased cost.
Cons: Heatspreaders! So I followed some guys advice where he says to only press down on the clips and not the black heatspreaders. The clip slipped down! Normally the loop on the clip is half and inch or so above the circuit board; it was flush after it slipped. I was able to fix it but beware and only press in with a pen pressing on the pcb only.
Overall Review: Running 4-3-3-10 @ 750, 2.1V
Pros: Decent ram that has fuctioned since November
Cons: Applyed for Rebate - Never heard anything.
Received Rebate Check - Surprised and happy.
Deposited Rebate Check last week - So far so good.
Got Notice from Bank Rebate Check bounced - Mushkin account closed.
Pretty scummy if you ask me. Will never buy or recommend a Mushkin product again.
Overall Review: Pretty scummy Mushkin.
Pros: This ram is exactly as advertised and like many others have said, not only will it boot @ 1T, it runs amazingly well @ 1T. EPP was automatically detected, was able to get 1066 @ 5-5-5-18 @ 2.0. Comes with a serial key for 3DMark Vantage, no cd.
Cons: Some members have stated that they are not getting the CD for 3DMark Vantage. Newegg should update the item photos and remove the pics of the disc. The packaging includes a serial only, no CD.
Pros: I added these to sticks to my previous 2x1gb setup of gskill memory. At 2.1 V, the stock 4-4-4-12 latencies work great. I was able to overclock these to 4-4-3-5. Yes, thats right, not 15, but 5. This is with 2T of course, still at stock 2.1 voltage. Beautiful.
Cons: I want more.
Overall Review: Don't you love how 32 bit games don't run natively in Vista 64, so you can have lots of RAM, but get equal or slower performance in games. Oh well.
Pros: Good Timings, manufactured very well, Good quality all around. The name says it all!!! Came with 3dmarkvantage.
Reusable case and shipped very nicely in addition to being quick. Thanks NewEgg...
Cons: Not much leverage to put in chips due to head dissipater design. No biggie, used the cap of a fine point sharpie to press down into place by pressing on ram stick itself directly. um.. the only thing else is I wish I would have gotten two sets so I could have 8 GB... Oh well.. next time... Comes in a CD/dvd looking case and not in static bags.. Not a major con to me but may be to some others out there.
Overall Review: I tried 4 sets of crucial ballistix tracers and had all kinds of issues from bad ram to unstable memory with timings and voltage. Got FED up and went with Mushkin. I ordered 4 gigs of this 2x2gb and went in easily. Immediately enabled performance profile 4-4-4-12. Ran MEMTest86 for 10 hours straight with 8 passes and no errors. System is very stable and doesn't freak out like it was with the crucial ram. I am 100% a Mushkin customer now!!! It costs a little more but very worth it!
Pros: This ram is great! At stock volts and stock clocks (800mhz) it will run good timings 4-4-4-12. I eased up on the timings a bit (~5-6-6-18 or so) and got this ram to run at ~960Mhz, stable. I haven't tried higher than that because I haven't really needed to. Micron chips in these modules.
Cons: This memory is a little more expensive than other comparable.
Overall Review: I have 2 of this kit, so 8GB on an eVGA 750i and I am really pleased with it.
