AWESOME 11/10/2009 6:41:47 PM

Pros: I am not much of a computer person but this ram is just plain awesome! It worked smoothly right out of the box. I have no problems so far and knock on wood on that. The blue heat sinkers looks great. It runs 5-5-5-12 on default !

Cons: Its not free.

Overall Review: Newegg is my favorite company, I been shopping online for ages within a variety of online sites. Nothing compares to newegg customer service, fast shipping and if you run into problems, newegg is the most reliable and fair.

I just got the ram two days ago and its been incredible. No problems, notice-able fast speed (I had horrible ram before and after installing this baby, I felt like I had a new computer when multi-tasking/gaming)

Great memory for picky Dell Computers 9/29/2009 6:35:59 PM

Pros: Reliable product, runs at CAS5 at 800MHz, and does that at 1.8V. Nice looking memory, with reasonably solid blue heat spreader. Runs at 5-4-4-12 if you have a motherboard capable of manually setting those timings, and is rated to do so at 1.8V. Worry free memory for Dell or other computers that use proprietary motherboards that will only supply 1.8V to the memory, and which cannot be manually adjusted. (Runs at 5-5-5-18 on these boards, not 5-4-4-12, but is still faster than CAS6 DDR2 which is widely available). Probably the fastest DDR2-800 memory that runs at 1.8V on proprietary systems such as Dells.

Cons: A little (not a lot) pricier than most of the other quality 4GB DDR2-800 kits, and runs at 5-5-5-18 if you do not have a motherboard that can be used to adjust latency timings (although this was done to assure compatibility, so I'm not sure you can really call it a con). It runs at those timings by default to ensure compatibility, which could be considered a major pro of this memory as well.

Overall Review: Bought this Mushkin memory after I sent back a "low voltage" OCZ Platinum kit that did not run at advertised specs at 1.8V. In fact, with the OCZ memory, the Dell computer I was upgrading would not even boot, as the OCZ memory's SPD was programmed to run at aggressive timings by default at 1.8V, which the memory was not capable of doing.

With this Mushkin memory, the computer runs the memory at 5-5-5-18, and boots and runs without a problem. Memory passes all tests, and the computer is much faster with the extra memory. This is the memory to buy if you are upgrading a non-user-configurable commercially built system that needs DDR2-800 and will only supply 1.8V to the memory.

Works perfectly 9/23/2009 9:17:48 AM

Pros: These RAM chips are very fast, pretty inexpensive, come with heat-spreaders, and work in my super-finicky Intel DG33FB motherboard. I just installed a second pair for a total of 8GB, and I couldn't be happier.

Cons: The heat-spreaders make pushing the RAM into the slot on the MB a little scary, but by following the included instructions on where to push, I haven't had any problems.

Overall Review: I run 64-bit Linux, so I don't have any issues with 4+ GB of RAM, but remember that 32-bit Linux will address more than 4GB, but will only allow each individual program to use 3GB. 32-bit Windows will (AFAIK) only allow 3-4 GB to be used total, so if you want to have more, you have to choose 64-bit Windows or Linux.

Pros: Works the way memory is supposed to work. I got it at a great price thanks to rebate.
The blue color looks great in my build

Cons: It's pretty expensive right now, the way a lot of RAM is these days.

Overall Review: First build put together on "January 2009"

Excellent Choice for stability 9/11/2009 7:28:48 PM

Pros: Stability - Ram just isn't worth using unless its stable and this stuff is about as stable as you can get and then some!

Cons: None- I got exactly what i wanted and this stuff delivers!
Was using some other B*ll*st*x crud that failed the memtest every time ...
This Mushkin memory on the other hand is absolutely flawless in memtest 86+ v2.11

Overall Review: Stability, a smexy blue exterior, unwavering reliability ... what more could you ask for!

Another positive experience 9/10/2009 10:30:06 PM

Pros: Just adding my voice to the chorus. I ran memtest for hours and hours with zero problems. Months later, these chips are singing.

I chose them for the low voltage, and my system is running very cool.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Too bad that even with XP 64 I can't seem to get all 4 GB to report... but I'm basically a noob when it comes to system building so I'm sure I'm missing something obvious.
