Overall Review: I got another 2.5" drive for my desktop and had to have another adapter, so I bought the same exact one I got before to match. I had to mount this one upside down though thanks to the PSU cable having an reversed connector... weird. Still, looks great in my computer and does the job!

Pros: It's universal and worked in the build I was working on.

Cons: Kind of expensive for a piece of metal and screws, but I'm glad Mushkin sells this idpendent of their drives and it was the cheapest. I won't dock an egg for any of this.

Cons: I have no idea what these are supposed to mount in, but in three of the three systems I purchased these for, the mounting holes did NOT line up with ANYTHING. In all three systems, I could only get one screw in the bracket to mount it to the chassis.

Overall Review: Should have purchased something else. Cost more than the purchase price to return to Newegg.

Pros: After close scrutiny you will have to agree that this is indeed a painted piece of metal with some holes in it. Furthermore, one so inclined could most likely attach various things to it and then in turn attach it to various other things.

Cons: I only have the one.

Cons: Can not fit into my servers. My machine needs the sata port at the exact position of a 3.5 inch drive. This adapter can not do the trick! They clearly at least try to mimic a 3.5 drive, but there is 2mm shift towards the center. Mushkin, could you please refine this product by shifting the holes on the plate? This should be a very easy change...

Overall Review: Picked one of these up after realizing my CM 690 II Advanced only came with one 3.5" to 2.5" adapters. After not being able to find the exact one for sale, I found one of these Mushkin branded ones instead. It doesn't line up perfectly when set in the case compared to the CM adapter, but it fits the SSD perfectly and fits into the HDD rack just fine with the slider bracket thing. My only gripe is having to use screws to attach the adapter to the bracket. OH WELL.

Pros: The bracket is made of quality metal and is a no-brainer installation.

Cons: No Mushkin logo on the product. The adapter did NOT work for my needs. I attempted to use it to mount to a Supermicro 2U server drive carrier, however the drive would not align properly with the server's backplane. There was a minor gap between the SSD drive and the side of this drive adapter bracket. That minor gap was the cause for the mis-alignment. Had this drive adapter bracket provided the screw holes on bottom in a location where the 2.5" drive would be flush with the side of the bracket, it probably would work fine.

Overall Review: This adapter bracket would work just fine for any one using a standard SATA cable and SATA power cable, as the positioning of these cables is obviously flexible. The problem I had was due to my inability to adjust the positioning of the backplane to make this product work.
