So is there a place for an audio output jack so that I can listen to this through my (powered) computer speakers?

No, there is an Aux Input jack, but other than a weak volume, (adequate for personal use, but don't expect to fill a large room with sound), but otherwise has performed flawlessly, with daily use, am very happy with it.    Dan

Is this analog tuning or digital? How many batteries does it use?

I can't answer this question because I gave it to my son's kindergarten class and am no longer in possession of the radio.

I would love to, but it was a gift to my son's Kindergarten class last year and I don't have it.  I remember it being small enough to fit into the bottom of a large gift bag.  It was perfect for the classroom as the teachers still had a good amount of cassettes for music in addition to the CDs.  Sorry I can't be more helpful!
