Do I need a separate DC injector to add POE wattage/voltage or does this provide the POE power through the CAT 5e POE ports?

No separate DC injector is needed, it provides the power on the 4 yellow ports. The other four are not powered. The switch itself does plug into a wall outlet to get power for all four ports and to run itself.
