aS LONG AS IT IS A FLAT SCREEN TV. The old TV from before that time  do not have the necessary plug. I hope this helps. But I suggest you look in back of your TV to see if it has an input. Good lyck

No, just usable with the pre-installed Netflix, Hulu and other apps. Also know this is a very slow little machine; I use it in a child's room as any adult would be too frustrated with the interface.

No, you can download new apps but they are limited to what ever netgear has provided. as far as I know. The device isn't bad for $29.99, but I've found on occasion it gets a little laggy. Netflix browsing isn't very convenient, but with wired internet it seems to stream higher resolution than netflix on my wife's laptop using wireless. It also has an optical out for sound, which is great for my uses.

Not in any simple way that I could figure out. It was mostly app based, and VERY VERY simplified versions of apps besides.

Hello, I am trying to hook up this to my old TV with red,yelly,white RCA input. my TV also has S-VEDEO input. has any one been able to make this work with old analog tv.? please if you have done this and it "worked" for you please say what kind of cable converter you used with full description and where I can get one before I send this device back.

There are convert boxes you would need to put between your TV and this device.  You will loose image quality.  The cost of the converter box might be better served in buying a new HD flat screen TV.  Watch Newegg weekly deals and you may catch one at a price that fits your budget.  Also check the Newegg Outlet.  You don't really need the latest and greatest just something that works.

If you have a laptop with WIDI (wireless display) that can stream content from the laptop IF YOU HAVE A "BOX," will this product pick up the WIDI signal from the laptop? Two other questions asked the same question but got conflicting answers. Thanks.

In my limited knowledge I would say no. You are hooking the Newtgear to the TV not  the laptop so whatever the laptop has or has not has no connection with the Betgear at all. You are streaming through the WIFI through the box to the TV. You can   use the WIFI of your laptop, say because you have the main hookup of Wireless downstairs and a laptop upstairs, (which uses the WIFI from downstairs) to make the "BOX" work but it works on the TV, picking up programs in the same way  as your laptop can pickup such streaming programs using WIFI. I hope this helps.

No.  This is a pass through box.  It takes whatever is run through it and records it, but you cannot play back to your monitor from a hard drive or PC.
