Is this a wifi capable camera and if so, does it require anything not in the box to be wifi capable?

The camera is WIFI capable but you need to buy the Nikon WU-1a Wireless Wi-Fi Mobile Adapter not included in the box.

Does this camera create the JPEG format?  I am looking at the D7100 b/c that camera automatically creates the JPEG format.

You can set it to save a .NEF, a .JPEG with 3 different quality settings, or both a .NEF and .JPEG simultaneously.

does it come as a bundle?

Yes you can buy any camera in a bundle. However this basic body and one lens will take you very far. Great for portraits, landscapes etc. Only thing it would not be good for is distant action shots of sports action. Bundles themselves are not a good value at all unless you get items you actually need. Ones with a battery, perhaps a wi fi (auto sends pix to your smart phone) and perhaps a lens hood are valuable bundle items. Ones with tripods, lens cleaners UV filters etc are fluff and are items you already have or are next to useless. (example UV filters are unneeded by today's digital cameras as digital is not UV sensitive). The tripod you may get in a bundle are often weak and not something i would ever use. Shop wisely...i did buy a bundle and it has a spare battery and wifi, and camera bag.
