Question 1

This says "410MB/s max speed" and usb type c. Type c is 40GB/s and normal usb 3 is 5GB/s and gen 2 is 10GB/s. What is the actual speed?

First of all you are mixing your units! Capital "B" is for Bytes, and lower "b" is for bits and usually 1B = 8b. It is same as with Feet and inches - if you're lazy you could write that your TV at home is 50' instead of 50".

Type C is not a protocol, but only a plug type. Thunderbolt 3 over Type C supports up to 40 Gbit/s (notice that it is nowhere near the 40GByte/s in your question). And there are plenty devices where Type C is used only for USB 2 at 480Mbit/s.

The specs state that:
1. It only supports USB 5Gbit/s (that is USB 3.1 Gen 1, same as USB 3.2 Gen 1x1), but here 1 Byte = 10 bits, so you only get 500MByte/s, instead of the expected 625MByte/s.
2. The spec also mentions that max speed is 410MByte/s - that must be a controller limitation inside the enclosure, or simply protocol overhead as it in fact has to translate and embed quite a few protocols.

Given all that, the specs are quite in line with theoretical limits, but it still does depend on which drives you put in and how you use them, because latency gets compounded cutting down on your speed. In general do expect it to act slightly slower, than attaching those drives directly to a desktop computer.

Question 2

Is the power switch mechanical or logical? During a power outage, will the unit come back online when the power is restored?

I have 8 of these and highly recommend them.  The switch is logical, for instance to turn it off you have to hold the button down for a few seconds (it's not a toggle).  I just tested one of my empty units and when the unit is on, then unplugged and then plugged back in - the unit turns back on.

Question 3

What is the model # of the power adapter that comes with this array?  If you cannot find it, can you give me the polarity and amperage of the adapter?  We moved and the wife didn't put the power adapters with the devices nor marked them.  I don't want to damage this by using the wrong adapter.

The way this housing is designed is that there are 5 bays total. The first 2 bays can be formatted as RAID or NON-RAID drives. The last 3 bays are NON-RAID ONLY. Hence, the “2 + 3” description.. Therefore, you can end up with either 1 RAID drive + 3 individual drives, or 5 individual drives.
