The Norelco Nose Trimmer 3000's Protective Guard System comfortably trims unwanted nose, ear and brow hair. No pulling guaranteed. Includes linear and rotary trimmers, a lithium battery and 2 eyebrow guards. Fully washable, easy to clean.
Pros: 1. Works well. Both the cylinder shaped head and "saw" shaped head cut well.
I did feel some minor pulling from the cylinder shaped head.
2. Both heads can be cleaned by rinsing and/or operating under running water.
However, the cylinder shaped head can not be disassembled for cleaning (many other trimmers can be disassembled).
2. Uses one standard AA battery (but see Con #3). Includes one Philips Lithium Ultimate AA battery.
3. Includes a small brush (to clean the "saw" head) and two "saw" shaped blade guards.
Includes a small printed (paper) user manual/instructions.
Cons: 1. The trimmer is pretty loud when held close to your ear for trimming. This is not an issue when trimming elsewhere.
2. The packaging is sturdy, but of poor design (see image). It consists of a cardboard outer with a green form fitted plastic base with a clear form fitted plastic cover.
There are two "heads" for the trimmer (a cylinder shaped head, and a "saw" shaped head).
The "saw" shaped head is longer than the cylinder shaped head. Both heads fit in the green plastic base when attached to the trimmer.
However, the "saw" shaped head is too long to fit in the green plastic accessories area (where the cylinder head is when the product is shipped).
The accessories area could have easily been designed so both guards fit in the green plastic accessories area.
3. Not rechargeable. Many products today are rechargeable with a standard USB charger.
4. The battery compartment is a bit difficult to open and close. The base end of the handle rotates about 45 degrees to open and close.
Overall Review: My wife finds it: Lightweight, Small, Easy to handle, Easy to maneuver into small tight spaces, No snagging or pulling of hairs, Cuts well, No nicks.
This product is a step up from cheaper/smaller trimers, but its no where near the quality of a electric razer/shaver.
Norelco nose and brow trimmer - multipurpose5/9/2022 12:18:42 PM
Pros: The case is appealing and has two neutral colors.
The build quality seems good and the switch has good feedback.
Cons: It features lithium battery power with a logo on the front, but it is just a AA and is not rechargeable type lithium ion battery.
Overall Review: High rpm cutting means no snagging. There are multiple attachments for use on brow hairs and nose hairs. Two different length spacers for brow trimming. Cleaning is simple with a rinse off with water. In use so far, it works as it should.
Pros: At 37, I was a nose-hair-ripper-outer on my way to becoming a flame snorter. I'm single so I can rip them out while I chill, but if I get lucky and a woman is around.. I will be unknowingly thankful nose hairs aren't tickling me while we hang. Knowing me, I'd unconsciously start pulling them out on a date.
Cons: I nicked my mustache! Lol... Might take some practice.
Overall Review: It's got a nice grip and orientation for your hand while using. I don't need all these tips, but if I wanted to groom my whole body I could now. This thing is awesome. You are supposed to rinse it under water before using so trimming on the toilet should be safe. Flush first.

Pros: seems like the rotary blade might be more robust and might last longer than the Wahl brand models
the on/off switch seems like it might be more robust than on the Wahl brand models
Cons: the rotary blade attachment is shorter than some competitive models
the rotary blade attachment seems to pull on nose hairs a little bit, not too bad, but more than I experienced with the Wahl brand models. Maybe the blade will get sharper with use, we'll see.
unlike with competitive models, the rotary blade attachment can not be disassembled for cleaning.
the battery compartment design is difficult to grip when opening.
Overall Review: I've only owned it for one day. It's disappointing that there isn't any obvious distinguishing Norelco R&D in the cutting mechanism, this seems like it might just be a re-badged generic. I am also waiting for a manually operated rotary-style trimmer... I just want a trimmer that works well and lasts. Hopefully this Norelco model lasts longer than the Wahl models have been lasting.
