Will nvidia allow me to download drivers for this card?

Accepted Answer

There are standalone NVIDIA Tesla drivers available on NVIDIA's website. If you are pairing this card with an NVIDIA Quadro, the Quadro driver should also support the Tesla. I have not tried to install it with a GeForce card, but you may have difficulty installing two separate NVIDIA drivers.

Question 2

I purchased one of these from here recently to use for monte carlo applications on my linux workstation. It came with only one power cable but appears as though it requires two. lspci shows the card, in addition to my quadro card for graphics, but the drivers do not work with the k40 because the device cannot be found. Could this be a power issue?
Could you clarify the power requirements for this card?

You definitely need both power cables attached for this to work. I had a similar issue where I had 2 power cables attached but one of them has to be an 8 pin cable and my HP Z820 only has 6 pin power cables (on my previous Tesla C2075, the 6 pin cable worked in the 8 pin receptacle).  I ended up using a Star Tech 6 pin to 8 pin adapter (PCIEX68ADAP from Newegg) to adapt my supply cable to the required 8 pin connection.  It worked after I installed this adapter cable.  NVIDIA support told me that your graphics card also needs to be of the Kepler architecture so I switched to a quadro K4000 (from quadro 4000) but I did this before the power cable issue so I'm not sure if its absolutely necessary or not.  Hope this helps!

Can this run games like battlefield 4 on ultra on 4k resolution?

Can it possibly work with an GTX card?

Does the card intergrate it'self in the board to where the boards ports run off the memory of the card? i mean looks to be so,but i'm a little confused on how that works,or do we have to buy a seperate card to sli

I built a workstation with  P9X79 MB, INTEL i73930K AHD A AMD FIRE PRO W5000.

I have been told that this Tesla is only for Servers. I require more render capabilities.

Is this Tesla Video Card Compatible with my MB and configuration?

It is a compute only device.  It has no display capabilities.  It is supposed to work in workstations, but we were unable to get it to work in our DELL computer.  And NVIDIA will be no help; they only support this card if you put it in a machine that has been tested by them or through one of their OEMs.
