Don't fear the Reaper. The Reaper is your friend. OCZ' Reaper HPC (Heat Pipe Conduit) is an innovative cooling solution for high-speed memory modules. By utilizing a heat pipe and radiator fins the heat generated is dissipated faster than standard heat spreader designs. This matters to you because it helps facilitate improved overclocking performance, while improving longevity and stability of your memory.

The extreme speed of these PC2 9200 modules will meet your needs for a long time to come. Even though the Reaper HPC modules were designed for gamers and performance enthusiasts, the Enhanced Performance Profiles (EPP) built in eliminate the need for manual configuration and make optimizing the memory easy for anyone who want to maximize system performance.

Let your opponents reap the whirlwind as you blow past them with the stunning performance of these modules, while you reap the rewards of your investment in advanced memory tech for your killer box!

  • newegg OCZ Reaper HPC Edition DDR2 SDRAM Featuring an EPP (Enhanced Performance Profiles) programmed SPD, the PC2-9200 Reaper HPC modules immediately boot at the rated specs on the latest generation of NVIDIA SLI chipsets. Although the OCZ Reaper HPC series was coined for enthusiasts, EPP eliminates the need for manual configuration and makes memory optimizations a household item for the complete range of consumers looking to maximize system performance through overclocking.
  • newegg Reaper Heat Pipe Conduit The Reaper HPC is an innovative cooling solution developed by OCZ to effectively minimize heat produced by high-speed memory. As heat rises into the thermo-conductive copper heat pipe conduit, it is dissipated through the strategically-placed compact aluminum fin array.
  • newegg 2.35V EVP The OCZ EVP (Extended Voltage Protection) feature allows performance enthusiasts to use a VDIMM of 2.35V without invalidating their OCZ Lifetime Warranty.

Dissapointing 4/10/2009 6:14:07 PM

Pros: Cool looking heatpipe cooler, at best it's DDR2 800

Cons: Will not run at 1066 much less 1150. I no doubt have a bad stick.

Overall Review: Tried this kit on an X48 board, it will run at 1066 CAS5 but with errors galore on Prime95. Tried on a 680i board, won't run 1066 without crashing. It will run 4-4-4-12 @ 800 on the X48 which isn't bad, but it's time to contact OCZ for an RMA I think

WHAT A BUY 1/20/2009 9:23:11 PM

Pros: I HAVE 2 NEW P45 THAT READ 1200 RAM AND ARE 1600 FSB SO THEY FIRED RIGHT UP AT 1150 DFI AND ASUS E8400 3.6 Q9650 3.8 HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS THE TOP OF THE LINE BOARDS ARE REALLY YOUR ANSWER HERE AND THE NEWER CPU.S

Cons: NONE YOU ROCK OCZ

Overall Review: I ALSO HAVE 3 TOP LINE P35 THAT READ 1066 AND FIRED RIGHT UP ON THE 1066 THEY DO READ THERE NUMBERS IF YOU HAVE A REALLY GOOD BIOS WHICH MEANS A GOOD BOARD IF YOUR CHEAP ON THE BOARD THEN THE BOARD IS GOING TO BE CHEAP ON YOU IN PERFORMANCE YOU DON.T HAVE TO BUY THE BEST RESEARCH THE BOARDS STUDY WHAT YOUR BUYING IT.S YOUR MONEY I.VE BEEN RUNING OCZ AND PAT. FOR YEARS AND HAVE NEVER EVER TOUCHED THE VOLTAGE THE RAM SPEED IS THERE WITH THE RIGHT BIOS AND BOARD... YEARS AGO A FRIEND WAS ALWAYS MESSING WITH THE VOLTS AND KEPT BLOWING RAM AND BLAMING THE RAM .. BUT NEVER HIS OWN STUPIDITY

Pros: They work!

Cons: You need to get to their website to pull the DRAM data and program them in the BIOS. At a low FSB of 300 something, one DRAM unit would work just like that in single channel mode. That way you could at least get into BIOS. At higher FSB of 450+ and dual channel mode all the hell would break loose if you don't use the exact DRAM spec in BIOS!

Overall Review: On a Q9550 with FSB 475, the GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R mobo is able to drive a 2GB (2 x 1GB) pair dual-channel at 1140 -- very close to the limit.

I always verify with Mem86 anytime I change DRAM and that habit saved me big time when OCing the Q9550. I had to bump the DRAM voltage past its stated limit though but just a tad to stabilize at 475 FSB. Only then I started testing with Prime95 and adjusted other voltages like Vcore or termination.

Not all that impressed with quality control 1/14/2009 12:23:08 PM

Pros: It's 1150MHz, and it's cheap, and it appears to work well ... when it works.

Cons: I bought two 2x1GB kits, had one DOA stick. RMA'd the bad set, got back a set that suffered severe damage in shipping; one stick was flaky at best, other stick was DOA. Was it caused by shipping or poor quality control? I don't know.

On the 2x1GB I do have working, overclocking the RAM does not appear feasible on my GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DS3R with E8400. I've only found rock solid stability by underclocking to 800 or 1066.

Overall Review: Both Newegg and OCZ have been helpful in resolving the issues, but the hassle is more than I expected when purchasing an OCZ product. I'm sitting here, a month and a half after the original purchase date, still waiting on a full 4GB of functional RAM.

I would have given less eggs for the hassle, but I left it at three due to the effort they (Newegg, OCZ) put forth to resolve the issue.

Actual Product Differs from picture 12/29/2008 2:21:10 AM

Pros: Great Price. Very Stable. Long lasting. This is the second pair that I purchased from NewEgg.

Cons: This most recent pair that I received used different heat pipes. The heatpipes are no longer made of copper and are no longer connected at both ends. This makes installation more difficult as the heatpipe is flexible like a diving board. The OCZ logo is now silkscreened rather that embossed as before.

Overall Review: Had micron d9 800Mhz before and had problems when O.C.. This memory last longer and runs cooler. Most the time I run this memory at 800Mhz and it runs cool. By default my MB runs these at 1066 without problems.

Dont buy if you O/C 12/26/2008 7:50:02 PM

Pros: Booted at rated speed

Cons: Would not boot and or could not get stable above rated speed, no mater what voltage or timing adjustment used.

Overall Review: I should of read the reviews before buying.
