OCZ Vertex 2 SATA II 3.5” Solid State Drives deliver the same industry-leading performance as the 2.5” edition in a larger, lower cost per gigabyte form factor to easily integrate into desktop applications without the need to install additional hardware.
Designed to excel in both sequential and random read/write speeds up to 50,000 4KB random write IOPS, the 3.5” Vertex 2 maximizes productivity when used as a primary storage or boot drive, minimizing program load times and completing tasks with blazing speed. Using the latest controller technology, the 3.5” Vertex 2 provides a faster, more responsive PC experience complete with TRIM support to keep your drive operating at peak performance in Windows 7 systems. Built with SATA 3Gb/s, Vertex 2 3.5” drives easily integrate into today’s desktop platforms as the ultimate storage upgrade.
Cool, quiet and durable operationOCZ Vertex 2 SSDs feature a durable yet lightweight housing, and because they have no moving parts, they are more rugged than conventional hard discs. Available in ample 90GB to 480GB capacities, the Vertex 2 is an ideal hard drive replacement for first-time SSD upgraders in need of primary desktop storage or a spacious application and OS boot drive.
Ultimate reliabilityDesigned for ultimate reliability, Vertex 2 Series SSDs have an excellent 2 million hour mean time between failure (MTBF) ensuring peace of mind over the long term. Vertex 2 Series comes backed by a 3-year warranty and award-winning technical support for the ultimate peace of mind.
TRIM SupportThe OCZ Vertex 2 Series SSDs offer native TRIM support that can be enabled in Windows 7. Designed to maintain the performance of SSD at an optimal level over the lifetime of the drive, TRIM functions by actively deleting invalid data from the SSD’s memory cells to ensure that write operations perform at full speed. Since a memory block must be erased before it can be re-programmed, TRIM improves performance by pro-actively erasing pages containing invalid data, allowing the SSD to write new data without first having to perform a time-consuming erase command.
SATA 3.0 Gb/s InterfaceThe OCZ Vertex 2 Series SSDs feature the next-generation SATA II interface supporting up to 3.0 Gb/s data transfer rates, Native Command Queuing (NCQ) and hot-pluggable point-to-point connections for optimum performance, efficiency, convenience and flexibility.

Pros: MBPS Reliability 3.5" size OCZ support and forum
Cons: None I can think of, other than it is not recommended to use over 60% of MB. But then that's not a con.. it's part of using an SSD. If you install over 60% of GB space they slow down. Had I thought it out I would have bought one 240GB or higher.
Overall Review: First I had one and was impressed. Then wanting to remove my HHD out of the equasion, I bought a second one to use in Raid0. I couldn't be happier. Bench32 has me hovering right under 500mbps. I had read that Raid0 is not recommended.. many months later I have had nothing but success. As an overclocker, these are so awesome that I am not OC'd much at all. The SSD's themselves feel like an OC. Not one problem and I'm running these with a 3 screen eyefinity setup. Browser on one, something on another and video/TV on the third. Gaming, incresed FPS. I don't think I'll ever use an HDD for more than a backup drive again. I recommend thinking out how much GB space you need. Devide by 60%, and buy one big enough to fit your needs and growth room. I ended out spending on 2, what I could have got one for anyhow. Get one for your OS only and quick booting.. remember a chain is only as good as it's weakest link. You will be glad you did.
