AC 120 V, 60 Hz (North American)
AC 220 - 240 V, 50/60 Hz (Others).

So yes it supports 220v.

Hi.
I am trying to decide which model of receiver to buy – Onkyo HT-R593 or Pioneer VSX-530. Can you give me and advice?

Don't know anything about the Pioneer.  I like my Onkyo... with caveats.  The GUI is horrible.  Looks like DOS on my TV screen.  That said, the Onkyo does what I wanted it to.  It makes it easy to use my Logitech Harmony remote to change 5 inputs on my TV and all have sound.  I would probably buy at least one version up from the HT-R593 if I were to do it over gain.  I think a redesigned GUI would be worth the money.

Yes. It is hard to tell from all of the information provided in the description, but this unit does have HDMI. "HDMI 2.0 audio/video", "Six HDMI® inputs and one HDMI output for audio and video sources", and "HDMI inputs for up to six high-definition sources, including support for 3D video. One HDMI output to your HDTV."

Does the Onkyo HT-R593 have up conversion to HDMI?

I hope I understood your question right. You do not need to up convert the Onkyo HT-R593 to HDMI. The unit is equipped with 6 different HDMI inputs and one output. I connected the output to my TV. My TV is equipped with HDMI input. On the other side, I connected ComCast unit to CBL input. PC HDMI to another input. DVD HDMI to third input. The remote control unit of Onkyo allows me to switch any of the input to the output. If your DVD is old style, Onkyo allows you to connect your banana plugs into the unit. You do not need to up convert your DVD unit.

I see the product has a "spotify" stick on the front.  Does this mean it can somehow stream spotify music?

It does have streaming capabilities with providers such as Spotify and Pandora. It is a very basic interface (you have flashbacks to the old pong game) but it's functional. I just bought it not too long ago but I haven't had an issue streaming Pandora. I don't use Spotify.

Are there connections for two sets of speakers, that is a total of four speakers?  If so, are there "A" and "B" buttons that control which set of speakers (or both) that are turned on?

The "Gallery" has a picture of the back, and the top of the page has zoomable views of the front.  This unit supports "5.1" audio: Front L+R, Center, Surround L+R, plus LFE (input to powered sub woofer.)  You can also setup 3.1, 3.0, 2.1, and 2.0. There is line-level  Pre-Out of the Front L+R that is being fed to the power amplifier, and line-level Zone 2 L+R out (so you can select a second source for input to a separate amplifier).  There is no A-B switch.
