does this unit come with everything needed to connect to Wifi? or do i need to order the UWF1 to connect? thanks

No, you will need to order the UWF-1 for wireless connection. The wireless works well, and it includes Wireless N (2.4 GHz). If you have a LAN cable available, you can just hook that up directly to this receiver and your good to go, with no need for the UWF-1.

More than a home theater processor, the TX-NR717 allows you to access music on PC, stream from Spotify, explore online radio, or connect your iPod®/iPhone® to one of two USB ports. You can distribute any of these various stereo sources to other rooms for house-wide entertainment.
