Yes. Quite well, actually. I purchased the Optima EH500 as a powerhouse portable projector for a house of worship and we have used it outdoors for community movie nights on two occasions. I was quite concerned going into the first use so I went out one evening shortly after it was received and WOW, the EH500 certainly delivered. We set up outdoors in our main parking lot and project onto a 16ft x 10ft vinyl banner from about 50 yards away, give or take a couple yards, with a staggering amount of ambient light due to the street lights throughout the parking lot with no feasible way of shutting them off short of calling the electrical company and the image is impeccable! The only thing I have to work on is the white balance due to the warm amber light emitted from the streetlights that gives the screen a warm predisposition.
