Yes, a standard 2.5" drive will fight. Either a 7mm (like a SSD or "Thin" HDD) or a traditional 9.5mm SATA HDD.

Sleep Mode is a function of the disk and not the case and interface electronics. If the disk has a low power or sleep mode the case will support it, but the case electronics are always on.

The height should be the only thing that changes; the rest is all standard.
Check if yours is 9.5mm or less; then it should be OK.

From what I have read, the device comes with a usb c cable. Since my computer does not have a usb type-c port on it. Would I be able to use this drive, with a micro usb to usb-a cable, without an impact to performance?

I haven;t tried with a Micros USB cable but this device comes with a USB 3.0 USB-A cable which you can use on any laptop/desktop.

There is no tool, its based on the manufacturers specification. Which is only 4TB. Putting a 5TB you are taking a chance on it working. Why not look for another Orico transparent case that can support 6, 8 or 16TB for 2.5 drive.

Will this work with a PS4?

Yes, you will have to make sure to format your drive to exFAT before hand to get anything to be read. If you have an empty drive, just plug it in and the PS4 should recognize it and prompt you to format and delete any data to make an external storage portion for games and such.
