This is an amazing Bob Addis Hand Signed 2013 Hartland Statue/Figurine 2-Piece Set w/ Roy Campanella. The Limited Edition set of two statues commemorating one of the most controversial calls in Major League history, known as "The Call Heard Round the World". The play occurred on September 21, 1951, in a game between the Boston Braves and Brooklyn Dodgers at Braves Field. With a man on first and third for the Braves, Earl Torgeson hit a ground ball to Jackie Robinson, who threw a strike to catcher Roy Campanella to nail Bob Addis at home plate.

The umpire called Addis safe, which caused Campanella to leap up and argue the call. He was ejected in the process and the Dodgers would go on to lose the game. At the time, they were in first place by one game over the New York Giants going into the final weekend series of the season- the loss would help force the famous Playoff between the Dodgers and Giants and the rest is history.
