Is it a hub motor or mid drive ?

It is a direct drive hub motor. Most hub motors on the market are geared. Geared hub motors are lighter, more efficient and have more torque. But the direct drive hub motors are faster, last longer, and are more reliable. I like the direct drive motor. It has plenty of torque, and I can count on it lasting as long as I'll own this amazing bike.
