Dust and splash-proof construction, high-performance optical stabilizer (OS) functionality, and an inner zoom mechanism that does not change barrel length when recomposing, are all features designed for the most demanding photographic conditions. It is also the first SIGMA DN zoom lens to be equipped with a click-and-declick-type aperture ring. Streamlined optical design and a multi-material structure that optimally arranges magnesium and TSC have resulted in a lightweight lens body.
