The Tilt-Shift 24mm f/3.5 ED AS UMC Lens from Rokinon is a wide-angle, full-frame lens fitted with the perspective control and tilt-shift functions. A tilt-shift lens allows the user to control perspective and correct convergence of lines within your frame, useful especially in architecture, landscape and product photography. The optical tilt mechanisms enable precise control of depth of field along with perspective control. It is compatible with both digital and film formats with an angle of view of 83.5deg. and on an APS-C size sensor has an angle of view of 59.9deg. and focal length equivalent of 36mm.

The tilt-shift function on the 24mm f/3.5 lens allows adjustment of the focal plane by an angle of +/-8.5deg. and enables parallel shift of the optical axis by +/-12mm. The tilt-shift section of the lens rotates left 90deg. (click-stop adjustment each 30deg.) and the lens mount can rotate left or right by 90deg. (click-stop adjustment each 30deg.). The lens is comprised of 16 elements in 11 groups, including two aspherical lenses and two Enhanced Dispersion (ED) lenses, which reduce aberrations and provide sharp details and accurate color separation. Multi-layered, anti-reflective UMC coating on each lens element allow even light transmission, minimizing flares and ghosting.

    24mm Full-Frame Prime Lens
Focal length equivalent when using lens on APS-C format camera is 36mm
Tilt/Shift functions allow for precise perspective and depth of field control
Aspherical and Enhanced Dispersion lens elements minimize aberrations for sharp resolution and accurate colors
UMC coating on lens elements provides even light transmission and minimizes reflections, flare and ghosting
Rokinon MTF charts use theoretical equations to plot performance and do not rely on subjective opinion, subject matter, camera features, software or other factors. They plot the contrast and resolution of a lens from the center to its edges, against a "perfect" lens that would transmit 100% of the light that passes through it. The contrast of a lens is important because it directly relates to resolution.
Rokinon tests are carried out with the lens at its maximum (widest) aperture (Ex. 24mm F1.4 lens is measured at F1.4 for MTF).
Zero on the chart's X-axis (horizontal axis) represents the center of the lens. As a line moves right, it indicates the change of contrast and sharpness from the center to the edge of the image.
The Y-axis (vertical axis) plots the transmission of light through the lens. It has a maximum value of "1.0" to indicate 100% transmittance of the light, which is not possible to achieve.
The blue graph lines (10 lines/mm) represent contrast measurement. The red graph lines (30 lines/mm) represent resolution.
Sagittal lines (thick lines) represent the contrast measurements of line pairs that are parallel to an imaginary diagonal line that runs from the bottom left hand corner to the top right hand corner of a image frame. Meridonial lines (thin lines) represent line pairs that are perpendicular to the imaginary diagonal line.
The higher and straighter the blue lines, the better the contrast. The higher and straighter the red lines, the better the resolution.

    Full Frame
Can properly cover full frame sensors equivalent in size to 35mm film (36 x 24mm) as well as smaller APS-C and MFT size sensors.

    Low Flare & Ghost
Helps prevent haze, lack of contrast and artifacts scattered throughout the image from bright source(s) of light.

    Low Coma
Helps prevent a blur that looks like a comet's tail that can occur at a lens edge.

    Tilt-Shift
Also known as a PC (Perspective Control) lens, provides the means for the vertical, lateral and rotational manipulation of the lens optics for line distortion control, selective focus and creativite imaging.
