These models continue our long-standing tradition of creating and manufacturing solid, stable, and accurate tracking mounts, all incorporated into a high-quality RC astrograph telescope.

The iOptron Photron truss tube RC telescopes are equipped with low thermal expansion quartz primary and secondary mirrors. These mirrors are coated with highly reflective dielectric coatings, maximizing the amount of light reaching your eyepiece or imaging device. The RC optical design of this telescope ensures coma, spherical, and chromatic aberration-free results, making it perfect for both color and monochrome imaging. The fixed position primary mirror eliminates image shift that can occur with other telescope designs, ensuring a stable and clear view of the cosmos. With a 1/12th wave or better primary mirror, our RC scopes deliver images and views that are truly out of this world.

Each Photron truss tube instrument is equipped with a dual-speed linear bearing Crayford focuser, which can facilitate our optional ASCOM compliant electronic focus control. Three focuser extension rings are provided for a "flex-free" solid extension, helping to take up any unneeded back focus. The telescope's backbone, composed of strong, light, carbon fiber truss supports, holds the optics firmly in place while keeping the weight to a minimum. The open-air design of the Photron 10" Truss Tube Ritchey-Cretien Telescope allows for rapid cooling, reducing the "wait time" before use.
