Is this mini umbrella sturdy enough?
Most mini umbrellas feel flimsy, but LILAC is different. With a 30% thicker center pole and reinforced double fiberglass ribs, it offers a solid, premium feel that sets it apart from typical pocket umbrellas.
Can it truly withstand strong winds?
It is highly wind-resistant. While any umbrella may flip in extreme gusts to protect the frame, LILAC is designed to be anti-damage. It has passed a 100-cycle flip test—simply flip it back, and it’s as good as new.
Is it hard to open and close? I’ve had trouble with other mini umbrellas.
Not at all. We’ve re-engineered the sliding mechanism for a silky-smooth experience. Plus, our extended center pole provides better leverage, making it much easier to click into place when opening and effortless to collapse.

The Ohara’s Kyoto-style techniques in 1962 was inherited by Lilac. Adhering to the umbrella artisans’ philosophy: “Lifetime dedication to perfecting a single art”. Lilac combines traditional craftsmanship with modern industrial design, human-centric aesthetics, and the spirit of innovation.
