M&S Systems DMC Intercom Patio Station, Remote Scan, Master Volume, 4-Wire Retrofit (NW65RS)

Easily replace your outdated 4-wire patio station (approx. 6 x 8 inches in size) with the M&S DMC Intercom Patio Station (Master Volume, 4-Wire Retrofit). This retrofit weather-resistant station connects to the DMC3-4 Retrofit System Master Station (sold separately) using the existing wiring. It provides outdoor audio, as well as communication with the other stations in your system.

The unit features a high-quality 5-inch speaker powered by 30 Watts RMS (delivered by Master Station) with local speaker volume control, talk and listen buttons, audio input and radio station scan buttons, and volume control buttons for radio, CD, or auxiliary.

How It Works

When you press the station’s TALK button, you can broadcast your voice to all other stations in the system. When you press the LISTEN button, the station lets you listen in on all stations, unless a station has its PRIVACY button depressed. Finally, you can press both the TALK and LISTEN buttons simultaneously to initiate communication with the door speaker.

The volume of the Master Station’s built-in AM/FM radio, optional CD player, and auxiliary input can be controlled with the patio station’s two up/down MUSIC VOLUME buttons. The radio can also be turned On/Off using these buttons. Pressing both the MUSIC VOLUME buttons at once and immediately letting go triggers the radio to scan through your preset stations and music sources. Pressing and holding both for four seconds activates a door release mechanism or a security system’s panic alarm (both sold separately).

Installation Details

The retrofit patio station is designed to fit into the existing patio station rough-in enclosure and connect to the existing wiring. To replace the rough-in, purchase the Patio Station Rough-in Enclosure, model NME5 (sold separately).

NOTE: Requires the DMC3-4 Retrofit System Master Station, sold separately.
