The controller connects any major brand garage door opener to the Internet, so you can monitor its status and open/close it from anywhere in the world using your mobile device or PC. The controller also sends optional alerts, letting you know when the garage opens or closes. The free MyQ mobile app for Apple/Android devices (and the matching mobile website for non-iOS/Android users) gives you remote control over your garage door, as well as any other MyQ connected devices in your network. Optional alerts can also be set up to notify you when the door opens/closes. Alerts can be sent as mobile push notifications or emails, or both. Compatibility: Most garage door openers manufactured by the following brands are compatible: Chamberlain, Craftsman, Genie, LiftMaster, Linear, Overhead Door, Raynor, Stanley, Wayne Dalton. Check the downloadable compatibility guide to verify that your garage door opener is compatible. The Wi-Fi Hub can be used to control up to two garage door openers. In order to control a second opener, you must purchase an additional door sensor (model MYQ-G0202). - Compatible Garage Door Opener
- Make sure your mobile device is connected to the Wi-Fi network.
- Make sure there is a strong Wi-Fi signal in the garage where the Wi-Fi Hub will be mounted. To verify, place your mobile device in the location where the Wi-Fi Hub will be installed. Your mobile device should display two or more bars. If not, move the router closer to the garage or purchase a Wi-Fi range extender.
