How to Set Up the Detector for Accurate Readings?
Before performing actual measurements, turn on the PT177 and allow it to warm up for 30 seconds (the warm-up process is mandatory). Please ensure the warm-up is conducted in a known "clean" environment to achieve accurate results.
How can I tell what sensitivity the detector is currently at?
When the S button light is on, the detector is in high sensitivity mode; when the S button light is off, the detector is in low sensitivity mode.
Does the alarm continue until the situation is resolved?
Yes, the alarm will continue to sound until the combustible gas concentration is below 5% of the lower explosive limit.
I suspect a gas leak, but the device does not detect anything. What should I do?
Please allow the PT177 to warm up in clean air for 30 seconds before testing. The device is designed for close-range detection (1–5 cm); greater distances may reduce sensitivity. Adjust your testing position accordingly for accurate results.
Can the sensors be replaced?
We do not sell sensors separately. If you find that the sensor is no longer working within three years from the date of purchase, please get in touch with us.
