AJMRTC MKA14103 normally open reed switch is a passive magnetic contact sensor. The internal metal contacts stay separated under normal state; when a magnet approaches, magnetic force pulls the contacts together to turn on the circuit. Encapsulated inside a transparent glass tube filled with inert gas, it prevents oxidation and arc damage, delivering stable switching performance over millions of cycles. The 2×14mm tiny form factor allows concealed mounting inside door frames, cabinet shells, sensor fixtures and DIY control devices. It works without power supply for simple trigger circuits and can pair with MCU modules for window/door security alarms, limit position detection, magnetic proximity trigger and counting devices. Avoid bending the lead pins violently to prevent cracking the glass envelope. Strong impact and high temperature will permanently damage the reed switch.
