The main compartment can hold a 1-liter hydration reservoir, and the front pocket can store small items like batteries, energy gels, and chem lights. Expanded capacity is approximately 18 liters. The main compartment can accommodate a helmet or a jacket, and the front pocket can hold electronics and small binoculars or sunglasses. Adjustable shoulder straps and chest straps ensure a comfortable fit.

It can also work with specific chest rigs by replacing the harness with the pack straps, creating a rig with a backpack.
