North-South Direction
Place the compass horizontally. After the needle comes to rest, the direction the arrow points to is the geographical "North".
Find Other Directions
Slowly rotate the compass until the arrow aligns with "N" on the bottom dial.
Recognize Other Directions
At this point, the directions marked on the bottom dial are the actual geographical directions.
N-North E-East S-South W-West
