Our newly developed no-clean desoldering braid wicks away solder quickly and efficiently so you can get the job done fast without damaging sensitive circuitry. We use 100% virgin copper construction to ensure our wicks are free from any impurities before coating with flux. These components provide a product with superior conductivity, even at low temperatures. In addition, the unique gapped-weave design of our braid absorbs solder quickly like a sponge, reducing the likelihood of overheating and lifted pads. Add fresh solder to tin joints before using the wick for optimal results!
Wick Features

Quality Materials
Impurity-free copper braid construction with 3% flux provides superior conductivity, even at low temperatures.

Easy To Use
Simply place over work and heat to correct soldering mistakes, remove unwanted solder from parts and terminals and break solder bridges.

Safe Residues
Leaves slight flux residue that is non-conductive and non-corrosive so it requires no cleaning. This product is also RoHs compliant.

For All Kinds of Circuitry
Clean up through-holes, surface mount pads, edge connectors, wire wrap pins, and any other terminals.
Wick Information

Wick Size
10ft Super size wick at standard width.

Wick Details
Unique gapped-weave design of our braid absorbs solder quickly like a sponge, reducing the likelihood of overheating and lifted pads.

Wick Applications
Desoldering braid comes in handy for a variety of hobbies and applications. Here are some popular uses.

Wick Uses
Desoldering braid can come in handy for a variety of soldering tasks by making solder removal a breeze.

How to Use a Wick
Scroll through the steps on how to properly use a desoldering wick!

Step 1
Position clean piece of the wick over the solder to be removed. If re-working old parts, it may help to first tin the joint with some fresh solder to promote optimal heat transfer.

Step 2
Use soldering iron tip to heat wick and joint simultaneously. When the solder melts, it will be drawn out of the joint and absorbed into the copper braid. A temperature of 350°C (662°F) is typically a good starting point.

Step 3
Once wick becomes saturated with solder, remove heat and wick simultaneously. If joint is not fully cleaned, cut the used portion of wick and repeat as needed.

Wick Uses
Desoldering braid can come in handy for a variety of soldering tasks by making solder removal a breeze.
