The roll-down closure used allows the product to be lightweight and flexible however some water can wick through the closure over time. This can be minimized by rolling the closure as tightly as possible 6 times.

How to wash clothes while traveling or camping?
Simply add water, cleaning product and clothes; seal the closure; deflate the bag; rub clothes against the inner washboard (30sec to 3min); rinse the clothes; and hang the clothes to dry.
Step 1: Fill the Scrubba wash bag
Laundry powder and sheets can also be used in this portable washing machine but they should be thoroughly dissolved before adding clothes
Step 2: Close the Scrubba wash bag
Some water may wick through the roll down closure over time. Roll tightly and stand bag upright with the valve at the top if soaking clothes in this portable washer
Step 3: Remove air from the Scrubba wash bag
Removing air allows clothes to be effectively rubbed against the inner washboard. For greater ease and control stand the Scrubba wash bag upright while deflating.
Step 4: Rub clothes against the inner washboard
Rub for 30 seconds to freshen up clothes or for 3 minutes for a machine quality wash. Stubborn stains should be pre-treated with a travel stain removing pen.
Step 5: Rinsing clothes in the Scrubba wash bag
Tip out dirty water, add clean water, seal the bag and shake to rinse. Make sure to discard water at least 50 metres (150 feet) from lakes and rivers. Clothes can also be rinsed in the shower.
Step 6: Drying clothes after washing
Dry clothes faster after washing them in the Scrubba washing machine by rolling them in a travel towel before hanging them to dry. Turn the Scrubba bag inside out and hang with the closure clips.
