The vehicle hard-wire kit connected to car battery or fuse box power, can uninterruptedly supply power for dash camera for 24 hours. It can even supply power when the car is turned off.
High Compatibility
We provide cables that can be adapted to different car fuse boxes, the cable hardwire kit is suitable for most car models (voltage between 12-24V). Our hardwire kits are suitable for almost all car Type-c devices, such as dashboard cameras, rearview mirror cameras, GPS navigators and radar detectors, etc. The ACC signal defaults to Type-c B8, and we have a short adapter cable to convert from B8 to B5.
Important NOTE
The included fuse taps are NOT compatible with the following vehicles due to their unique fuse box design: 2021 Ford F150, 2011 Ford F150 Lariat, Ford F350, 2011 Ford Edge, 2013 Ford Explorer, 2013 Ford Expedition, 2021 Ford Ranger, 2013 Ford F150, 2016 Ford Expedition, 2014 Ford F250 Super Duty, Mazda CX5 2021, 2012 Chrysler 300C AWD, 2024 GMC Sierra HD, 2014 Jeep Cherokee KL, 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2022 Jeep Gladiator, 2023 Hyundai Palisade & Audi Q5.
Find the Correct Fuse Slot
Open the fuse box(the position of the fuse box varies among different cars), find the correct fuse slot for your hardwire kit. If you need to find an ignition switched fuse, put the key in the vehicle, find the fuse which is not lit up while the car is off, and test it by turning the car on to see if it lights up. If your kit requires constant power, turn off the car and remove the key to see which fuse slots stays lit on.
Connect the yellow Wire(Bat+)
The yellow cable should be connected to the fuse of the constant power supply in the car fuse box.
If you are looking for a constant power supply in the fuse box: Use a voltage tester to check the fuse to ensure it still have electricity even if the car engine is off.
Connect the Red Wire(Acc+)
Identify the ACC (Accessory) fuse slot in the fuse box. This slot provides power when the ignition is on.
Testing method : The tester bulb will light when the engine if on and won't light when the engine is off.
Ground the Hardwiring Kit
This black cable is connected to the metal parts of the vehicle. There are screw nails and metal parts near the fuse boxes in many cars. Connect the black cable to the screw or metal part.
