When using for the first time, double-click the top of the stylus to check that the battery is sufficiently charged. If the battery is low, charge the stylus for 30 minutes first.
If the pen does not work after turning it on, proceed as follows: Disable Bluetooth on the iPad: Settings > Bluetooth > Turn off Bluetooth; or disconnect the iPad from the Apple Pencil: Settings > Bluetooth > Apple Pencil > Tap the i icon > Forget this device.
If the tip responds slowly or jumps around, check that the tip is securely attached or replace it with a new one.
To identify your iPad model:
1: Settings > General > About > Model name
2: Look for the model number starting with A on the back of the iPad.
This pencil is compatible with iPad models released in 2018 or later.
