What is the included UV static film for?
The UV static film is designed for windshield installation only. Place the film on clean windshield glass first, then attach the suction cup onto the film. It provides a removable barrier between the suction cup and the glass for future removal.
Can I use the UV static film on my dashboard?
No. The UV static film is intended for windshield glass and should not be used on the dashboard. For dashboard installation, use the included 3M adhesive mounting pad to create a suitable surface for the suction cup.
How should I install the mount on my dashboard?
Clean and dry a flat dashboard area, firmly attach the included 3M mounting pad, and then secure the suction cup onto the pad. Avoid highly curved, heavily textured, soft-touch, or uneven surfaces that may reduce adhesive performance.
Why does the magnetic hold feel weaker with my phone case?
Magnetic strength depends on case thickness, magnetic ring quality, and alignment. For the strongest hold, use a MagSafe-compatible case with a properly aligned magnetic ring.
Do I need to use the included metal ring?
MagSafe-enabled iPhones and MagSafe-compatible cases can attach directly without the metal ring. For non-MagSafe phones or regular cases, attach the included metal ring to the outside of the case.
