This is a genuine LEFT side CPU cooling fan, compatible with the Dell XPS 15 (9570) and Precision 5520 laptops. This fan cool the CPU processor side of the heatsink.
If your PC fan is running very loud or not functioning then a replacement may be needed.
The fan uses an integrated flex cable to connect to the mainboard. The cable connects via 4-pin connector making it a plug and play replacement module, NO soldering is required.
