BE SMART: This cajon is constructed from 100% Baltic birch wood, which is also utilized in high-end drum sets for players serious about sound quality. It is made without cheap, glued-on, plasticky laminates that only mimic the appearance of wood.
HOW IT WORKS: The Baltic birch playing surface provides punchy bass with approximately as much volume as an acoustic guitar. Inside are two sets of adjustable micro-coiled steel cajon strings that deliver a crisp snare sound (a tuning key is included).
HOW TO ADJUST STRINGS: A hex key is included to tighten or loosen the two screws on the bottom (positioned between the two front feet). Tighten the screws for more definition and loosen them for a lax snare effect.
BY THE NUMBERS: This full-size cajon measures 11 3/4" W x 18" H x 12 1/4" D and weighs 8 lbs. It offers sufficient volume for any room and is built for durability with a solid frame that supports adults and children.
