The 2025 limited-edition ENSO headphones will celebrate 10 years (and counting) of the ATH-M50x, launched in 2014, by returning to a classic, all black style with a twist. The name ENSO was inspired by Japanese paintings, where artists create a circle with one singular motion, representing the cyclical nature of life. The circle reflects both our return to the original sophisticated black color, after releasing a spectrum of limited-edition designs, and the iconic rings on the ATH-M50x. For the first time, the headphones will feature custom engravings on the rings and headband sliders reflecting the brush strokes of sumi ink, used in Enso paintings, and audio frequency waves.
A serial number has been engraved into the matte black headphones, ensuring every pair is unique. The packaging for ATH-M50x ENSO also includes bespoke designs, created for this campaign.
