The Poly Blackwire 3310 USB-C TAA is a wired, single-ear headset with USB-C and 3.5 mm connections, a noise-canceling microphone, and a 7.1-foot cable, suited to office calls and users who want to keep one ear free.
Recommended For
- Desk-based support, reception, and office staff who take frequent calls and want one ear free to hear coworkers or activity around them.
- Remote or hybrid workers who spend much of the day on computer calls and prefer a wired headset with inline call, mute, and volume controls instead of managing a wireless connection.
- Call-center and customer-service workers who need a boom microphone with noise and echo reduction for voice conversations, rather than a headset primarily for listening to music.
- Organizations equipping computer-based workers who want a lightweight, plug-in wired mono headset for calls; one reviewer reports comfortable extended wear and clear call audio.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- During Teams, Zoom, or other computer calls, the user can keep the headset connected by USB and use its boom microphone and inline mute and volume controls; this suits routine meetings and softphone calls without relying on a wireless connection.
- In a shared office or reception area, the mono design leaves one ear open, so the user can follow a call while still hearing nearby colleagues or in-person requests.
- For customer-support or other call-heavy desk work, the wired connection avoids headset battery charging, and the inline controls make it convenient to mute or adjust volume between calls.
- While taking notes or working at a desk during a call, the user can keep both hands free and use the boom microphone to speak without holding a phone.
- At a fixed workstation, the USB-C cable provides a straightforward plug-in setup for calls; the TAA model’s USB-C-to-USB-A adapter can also help when the computer has a USB-A port instead.
