The Poly Blackwire 3225 is a wired, on-ear stereo headset with a noise-cancelling microphone and USB-C, 3.5 mm, and USB-C-to-A connectivity, suited to people who take calls across compatible computers and devices.
Recommended For
- Remote and office workers who spend much of the day on video calls and want a wired headset with a boom mic and inline call controls.
- People who switch between a computer and a phone or tablet and want one wired headset with USB-C, a USB-A adapter, and a 3.5 mm connection.
- Callers working in a shared room who want the headset microphone to reduce background noise picked up by the person on the other end, without needing wireless operation.
- Students and home-office users who want a wired headset for online classes, webinars, calls, and occasional music or video, without having to charge a battery.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- For work-from-home video meetings on a PC or Mac, connect over USB-C or the included USB-A adapter; the boom microphone and inline call controls support everyday meeting use.
- During a full day of desk-based calls, the wired connection means there is no headset battery to recharge; the trade-off is staying within reach of the connected device.
- When taking calls in a shared home or office, the noise-canceling microphone is intended to reduce background noise picked up from the room; it does not provide active noise cancellation for the wearer.
- For calls across a laptop and a compatible phone or tablet, use USB-C or the USB-A adapter with the computer and the 3.5 mm plug with a device that has a headset jack; call-control functions may be limited over the analog connection.
- For remote classes or training sessions, the stereo on-ear design supports listening and speaking through a single wired headset, with the cable keeping it suited to a seated setup rather than moving around during calls.
