Poly A10-16 Adapter(85T17AA) - for Headset

The Poly DA A10-16 (85T17AA) is a headset adapter for people using Poly headset setups, including call-center and office users who need an accessory for headset-based calls.

Recommended For

• Office or call-center staff using a compatible Poly H-Series headset with a headset-ready desk phone who want a direct wired connection without a separate amplifier.
• Organizations with a mix of direct-connect phones and M22 amplifier setups that want to use H-Series headsets in either setup, with the appropriate connection cable.
• Desk-phone users with a specifically verified phone-and-headset combination; for example, Grandstream lists the A10-16 for the Poly HW261N with an additional 85638-01 cable.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• At a desk with a headset-ready phone, connect a compatible Poly H-Series Quick Disconnect headset through the phone’s headset port to handle calls without holding the handset; the A10-16 connects the headset directly, with no separate amplifier required.
• In an office or call-center role that involves frequent desk-phone calls, use the adapter to connect a compatible H-Series headset to a headset-ready phone, leaving your hands free for typing or paperwork while talking.
• When moving a compatible H-Series headset to a different desk phone, use the A10-16 if the new phone has a supported headset port; this can let you keep using the headset rather than switching to a phone handset.
• If you need to step away briefly during a call, use the Quick Disconnect to detach the headset while leaving the phone-side connection in place; the headset can be disconnected without ending the call.
