Finally, you can enjoy the same S2000 performance with modern Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and aptX HD decoding. Get rock solid stability and low latency streaming audio with blazing fast transfer speeds. The system's 5.5 -inch aluminum bass drivers pump out powerful bass, while its MDF enclosure reduces cabinet resonance for a clearer sound. A tri-amped system and class D amplifier ensures that you can pump the volume up without having to worry about heavy distortion, while planar diaphragm tweeters offer clear, crisp highs. A Class D Amp allows you to crank the volume while still maintaining crystal clear audio.

The Edifier S2000MKIII is a powered 2.0 bookshelf speaker system with planar diaphragm tweeters, 5.5-inch woofers, Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD, and wired inputs, suited to listeners who want flexible, high-quality audio for home listening.
Recommended For
- Home listeners who put music first and want a stereo pair for focused listening, with Bluetooth streaming or wired connections for a dedicated music player.
- People building a home audio setup around several sources—such as a TV, CD player, computer, or phone—who want to connect them at once and switch inputs without recabling.
- Listeners outfitting a living room or other space with room for substantial speakers who want stereo sound for music and occasional TV or film playback.
- Phone or laptop users who want to stream music wirelessly at home but also have optical, coaxial, or analog inputs available for other gear.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- For everyday music listening in a living room, stream from a phone over Bluetooth or connect a music player by cable; reviewers describe the stereo presentation as suited to music, with enough output to fill a larger room.
- For TV shows and films, connect the TV’s optical or coaxial audio output and use the pair as a stereo alternative to a soundbar; reviewers report room-filling sound, but not surround or Atmos effects.
- For a turntable setup, connect a turntable’s line-level output—or a phono preamp’s output—to the speakers; owners discuss using the S2000MKIII in vinyl systems, including setups shared with a PC or TV.
- For desktop or home-office listening, use them for music and other PC audio; their stereo separation can give a more spacious presentation than a single compact speaker, though their large cabinets need desk or stand space.
- For a shared living-room system, connect multiple wired sources—such as a TV and a turntable—to separate inputs, then switch sources with the remote instead of repeatedly unplugging cables.
