Unlike dynamic driver headphones, which use a small diaphragm attached to a coil of wire, the Sundara's planar magnetic drivers utilize a thin, lightweight diaphragm that is driven by a series of magnets placed on either side. This innovative design results in a wider frequency response range, faster and more accurate sound, and significantly reduced distortion.

What makes the Sundara Closed-Back headphones different from other headphones on the market is their use of a uniquely-shaped magnet that permits sound waves to pass through without causing interference.
