HIFIMAN Topology Diaphragm

HIFIMAN founder Dr. Fang Bian argued in his PhD thesis that nanoparticles have distinctive properties based on their distinctive structures. He applied this discovery to hi-fi audio by applying a coating of nanoparticles to the surface of a headphone diaphragm, yielding results in acoustic performance that were previously unobtainable. Steel, foam, and leather

HIFIMAN started with a solid steel band as the core of the HE-R9?s headband. They covered it in high-grade memory foam selected to achieve the most comfortable fit and elasticity. Finally, they wrapped it in supple high-quality leather. The result is lightweight yet strong, robust yet delicate.

Large ear cups for superior acoustics

The crimson ear cups are large in order to provide ample interior space for the driver to sound its best.
