The BCM43224 has the industry's first integrated dual-band 802.11 n power amplifiers, eliminating the need for external power amplifiers, significantly reducing the rest-of-BOM (RBOM) and footprint. This solution is fully compatible with IEEE 802.11 n Draft 2.0 and 802.11 b/g legacy devices. It has two transmitters and two receivers with optional 802.11 n Draft 2.0 modes to allow data rates supporting up to 300 Mbps. Broadcom's Intensi-fi XLR increases rate vs. range of existing 802.11 n networks. The increased rate and range provides user satisfaction and reduces product support call volume. This single-chip 65nm solution with integrated dual-band power amplifiers drives down the cost of 802.11 n solutions into the consumer and media space.
The highly integrated CMOS (Complimentary Metal-oxide Semiconductor) and low-power modes result in a 50 percent power reduction compared to previous generation solutions. Support 802.11 b/g/n up to 300Mbps Two antenna configurations for improved range and performance. Intensi-fi XLR with Accelerange Technology PCI Interface supported Integrated LDO regulators and
