Lens adheres to the strict quality standards set by Leica for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras. It features a constant f/ 2.8 maximum aperture, allowing for great performance in various lighting conditions and control over depth of field. The lens incorporates two extra-low dispersion elements and one ultra extra-low dispersion element to reduce fringing and chromatic aberrations. An anti-reflective coating inside the lens barrel, in addition to the original Nano Surface Coating, combats ghosting and flare, even when shooting in strong light.

The lens also comes with a POWER Optical Image Stabilizer, compatible with Dual I. S., and a linear autofocus motor, offering fast, quiet, and nearly silent focusing for both video and still photography. Furthermore, its dust, splash, and freezeproof design allows for reliable use in challenging environmental conditions.

Created in collaboration with Leica, it follows the company's rigorous quality standards.
